Santa Baby!

We went to see Santa on Sunday! She did really well. I don't think she was so sure of the beard, but we got a good photo anyway!

4 months old...

We had Isabelle's 4 month appointment on Friday. She weighs 18 lbs. 1 oz. and is 25 1/2 inches long! She is getting so big!! :)

It was Jason's birthday yesterday, so we had a nice party with family and friends. So thankful for all of them!!

Thursday, August 20, 2009

Oops...

it's been a long time since I posted. We've been really busy! We went to NC with Jason's family...what a long trip down there! Isabelle did awesome in the car - much better than I was expecting. Jason has started a new job that he really likes, so there has been some adjusting there as well.

I am still lucky enough to be able to stay home with Isabelle. She is growing up so fast! We have her 4 month (!!!!!!!!!) appointment tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to the shots she will get, but am excited to see how much she weighs and how tall she is now.

More on that tomorrow...

Few photos from the lake...

Just thought I would share a few photos from the lake. We had a great time! Kiana thought Isabelle's nickname should be "Bubbles" because she can make a chin full of bubbles.

Lake time...

We've been hanging out at the lake for the past week...gotta love family vacation! :) It's been an interesting and fun time with Isabelle here this year. I can't wait until she is running around playing in the water and sand. :)

2 month appt...

Well we are home from our two month appointment! I think the end of bath time (the drying off/lotion/getting dressed) is more traumatic than the shots were! You had two in one leg, one in the other and also an oral vaccination. The dr. said everything looks good and you are healthy! Isabelle weighed in at 16 pounds 9 ounces and 24 inches long!

Just hangin'

with my little girl...and I LOVE it! She's doing great...eating well and definitely growing! I am loving all the little smiles and cooing I get. It's awesome to watch her grow and change daily!

Love her!!

6 weeks old yesterday!

I can't believe how fast the six weeks have flown by...there were moments where it seemed everything was going SLOW...probably those few moments of frustration. ;) But, we're doing well, minus my kidney infection and constant headache that I have had with it, but hope to be 100% in the next few days! Here's a few photos from a photo shoot I did of Isabelle. :)

1 Month!

1 Month old...and on to the 3-6 month clothes?!? Yup, we're moving on up to the next size! She has gotten longer and probably a little chunkier too, but she's just perfect! :)

Can't believe how fast the first month went...Baptism is this weekend! Great Grandma Ruth always said that babies act better after they are baptized. So...we'll see!

Little update...

So the wait is on!!

No baby yet...

We're in week 39!

We have a doctor appointment on Thursday, so we'll see what he says about how I'm progressing.

As far as baby goes...

*Lanugo has mostly disappeared
*Lungs are maturing
*She doesn't have much room to move around in there now!
*Her body continues to lay on fat stores that will help regulate her temperature after birth.
*Average weight is 7.25 pounds and length is 19.9 inches (somehow I think this baby will be above average in at least the weight, but we'll see!!)

Thursday, April 9, 2009

Good doctor appointment...

We had a good doctor appointment today.  He said I am making progress and am 80% effaced and 1 cm dilated.  He said that I could go any time.  I made another appointment for next week, but he said we could go any time.  So...we'll see!

Week 38!

We're in week 38...it won't be long now!

We have a doctor appointment on Thursday, so we'll see what he has to say and if we've made any progress!

Here's what's going on with the baby:
*The average baby (which I think our baby is probably a bit bigger than this...) is 6.8 pounds and 19.6 inches long
*She may have a full head of hair now
*Circumference of head and abdomen are about the same size!

Dr. Appointment...

We had our doctor appointment today.  It went well.  He said the baby is looking good.  He did an exam and said I am about 60% effaced and a fingertip dilated.  So, we are making progress!

He also said that he would like to see me have the baby by the 14th, but would not let me go past my due date of the 18th.  So...we have between 12 and 16 days and the baby will be here!  Crazy!!

We were supposed to have a dr. appointment yesterday, but the clinic was closed because of the flooding...SO, now we have an appointment on Thursday morning!  We're hoping all the snow doesn't stop us from going to that appointment!

Here's what's going on with the little one...
*Average weight is 6.3 pounds and 19.1 inches
*She is officially full term now
*Her grasp is firm now
*She now turns towards light outside the uterus instead of only turning her eyes toward light

Dr. Appointment...

We were supposed to have a doctor appointment this morning, but since I am still at my mom and dad's house, and the roads are crappy, we moved our appointment to Monday.  I will update more then!

Back from the doctor...

and he said that everything looks good!  He said that I am definitely growing.  We got to hear the heartbeat again, and it was 141 bpm.

I asked if he thought the baby was too big and he said that he didn't think we were going to have a 6 pound baby.  I didn't figure that the baby would be small, am just hoping that the baby isn't huge!  He said if I am ready to go early and labor starts early then we will deal with it then.  He said he would know more when I have my next appointment in two weeks when he could check how "Mr. Cervix" was doing.  I said "MR?" and he said "Yea, Mr. Cervix" and laughed.

Fun times at the doctor!

*Fingernails have reached the end of her fingertips.
*The average length is 17.7 inches and weight is 4.7 pounds!

Week 31!

We've only got 9 weeks left...we're in week 31!

We've been really busy lately.  We had our first baby class last week which was called "The Labor Experience."  It definitely had a lot of good information and the labor video wasn't too bad, right Jason? ;)  She is kicking a lot lately, which is still weird to think I have a baby inside me!

We have a doctor appointment on Thursday, so will post when we get back about how it went.

*Eyebrows and eyelashes are noticeable
*Hair is growing longer
*Eyes are completely formed - I can't wait to see what they look like!
*She is getting plump and rounded from muscle tissue and bone.
*Lungs are capable of breathing!
*Average weight is 2.2 lbs. and 14.8 inches!

Doctor's Appointment

We had another doctor's appointment today!

Everything looks good.  I've gained a little more weight than past appointments, but I blame Christmas and the cookies!!  The doctor didn't seem too worried about it as it is the first big gain for the pregnancy.

I had my glucose test today, and are waiting for the results.  We'll see if we get a call tomorrow.  We got to hear the heartbeat again, and the doctor said everything sounds good!

And...we're in the third trimester officially tomorrow!

Tuesday, January 13, 2009
